Fortunately, consultations for preventive care are a common thing. This type of consultation allows us to do a complete physical examination and talk with owners of their pet’s general health and lifestyle every year. Preventive care include vaccination, deworming and other parasite control, annual physical examination, annual blood work for older patients and much more.

Depending on your pet’s lifestyle, its age and general health, we can recommend adapted parasite control, appropriate feeding and different small changes to bring in its habits on a daily basis if needed.

Preventive care has the advantage of helping us avoid certain diseases for your animal; a dog well vaccinated is very unlikely to contract parvovirus; a cat with a healthy weight has much less chances of developing arthrosis or diabetes mellitus; a dog with good parasite control is protected not only from external parasites but also from the diseases they may transmit… This simple consultation may be the one that avoids you many headaches!
